I absolutely love your newsletters. From all the newsletters I ever subscribed to but more so unwillingly (unknowingly) was subscribed to you are the first one that I actually want to read and love reading.😅 I love the topics that you talk about and your way of diving deeper into them. It's rare that I actually read newsletters but yours are totally worth it.
I also find many people who communicate with me. Our languages are same but their ideas the way they treat people their perspective everything is quiet opposite. They don't connect with me at any point.
As yasmin mogahed says
"Some hearts understand each other in silence"
I truly believe this.
Some sufis says our verbal communication doesn't matter much especially when we are praying.
I so appreciate your take on being alive and living life with a curious mind, a warm heart and an adventurous spirit! I've read and appreciated many of your letters in the past, yet I have not commented before today. In part, I think it's because my mind gets so busy with all the possible ways of communicating. I get too concerned about how best to express what I'm thinking and feeling that I end up stalling, delaying and then completely missing an opportunity to simply say, thank you! Thank you for your courage, your bravery to share your inner most thoughts and feelings and to actually take the action to do what you love to do. Thank you Lana! Wally
As an Italian myself, I can say here in Italy you cannot speak without putting a lot of body language in the conversation! I think you've found the perfect person to verbal-communicate 😄 sending you italian non verbal greetings ☺️👋 have a great day!
What a lovely letter, with a good explanation of communication. I ride horses and do it everyday, so for me the non-verbal communication has become “normal”, but this letter was a good reminder for how special it actually is. Thank you very much!!
This newsletter reminded me of a very famous saying "action speaks more than words" even I have observed sometimes that without saying anything or someone's action are more appealing or satisfying to me rather than glittery shimmery words .
Lana, you're newsletters always leaves me what a lot to think about. Non-verbal cues are more important I think than verbal. They say a lot more than the words coming out of our mouths, It's definitely something to be mindful of when communicating with others.
This newsletter was simple, yet loaded with thought and meaning. I absolutely love your writing style, which is both, simple, elegant, and captivating. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of knowledge 💚
Interesting letter Lana. I certainly agree that non verbal communication is a key part of our interactions. I think it can explain why we feel that immediate connection to someone. You can have shared very little conversation with a person but already be very comfortable with them.
I love the story about the Italian man. It brought me a little dose of joy just imaging it as I read.
Interesting story about the person you didn't connect well with. Obviously you were present and getting some sort of vibes about the situation, but when I read the cues I interpreted it to be a person who may have been nervous, do you think this is possible?
I know I certainly pay close attention to people's body language. I think it's much easier to lie with words than it is worth your body. It's certainly an interesting topic and I enjoyed reading your thoughts on it.
Hi Lana! Really admire the efforts that you put in with the newsletters.
I think when we talk about non-verbal communication, we can see that in the artifacts, in the books that we read, in the music that we listen to, in the kind of social media content that we relate to, we are all speaking the same language without having to tell each other that we confide in these art forms and I think that's the beauty of communication. Sometimes, the kind of things we surround ourselves with and the kind of things we choose for ourselves, speaks volumes about us and makes us who we really are.

Such a great topic indeed! I had similar experience in Greece recently, and even wrote an essay about it: https://happinessguide.blog/essays/no-words
P.S. nice taste on pictures compilation!
I don't know English very well, but I will improve it to understand your letters and videos, Lana :)
Lovely work lana 😊👍
